SNAP is a paid apprenticeship providing elevated educational and clinical experiences for a 12- to 18-month period in preparation for a registered nurse role after graduation. Residency learning will build on the classroom didactic and clinical immersion experiences and meet newly discovered professional growth needs.Ĭohorts are grouped by service line to customize learning specialties will have two cohorts per year. New graduate nurses join a residency cohort near the conclusion of unit orientation with their preceptor. Twelve monthly workshops provide conceptual and skill-based learning for all new graduate nurses employed within the Norton Healthcare system.
